Nutraceutical - A food-derived product in tablet, powder, or capsule form with physiological effects beneficial against certain chronic diseases.

Active Ingredient - The substance in a drug product with therapeutic properties, found in plants as well.

Minerals - Non-organic bodies critical to our survival, e.g., magnesium, zinc, copper, calcium, iron, sodium.

Excipient - A neutral substance aiding in the absorption, preservation, or administration of an active ingredient.
Plant Extract - Substance produced by separating and processing the active part of a plant, often titrated or standardized.
Tablet - Condensed powder for oral administration.
Amino Acids - Building blocks of proteins, essential (from diet or supplements) and non-essential (produced by the body).
Adaptogen - A plant boosting the body's resistance to fatigue and stress, e.g., ginseng, rhodiola, ashwagandha.
 Absorption - Transfer of nutrients from the digestive tract to the bloodstream and organs, affected by various factors.
Reference Contributions (RC) - Recommended daily allowance of vitamins and minerals for food product labeling.
Bioavailability - Measurement of the rate and speed of absorption of an active ingredient.
Allergens - Substances causing allergic reactions, e.g., dust, cat fur, specific foods, pollen.
Capsule - Galenic form with a soft shell and liquid active ingredients for oral consumption.
Galenic - Refers to the form in which a medicine or supplement is delivered (tablet, capsule, powder, liquid).
Manufacturing - Creation of a drug or dietary supplement by combining active ingredients with excipients.
GMO - Genetically Modified Organism, a living thing with altered genetic makeup for specific features.
Vitamins - Organic molecules essential for body function, supplied by food, divided into water-soluble and fat-soluble.
UI - International Unit, a unit of measurement indicating ingredient dosage, used for vitamin D, E, etc.
